1. The Department of Political Science was established in 1942.
2. Political Science was started in order to provide high quality education for women students and to explore the recent advances and innovative teaching, learning members for the effective teaching.
3. The Department designs the curriculum to foster the skills necessary for career development and lifelong learning in a rapidly changing global environment.
4. As learning Political Science helps students doing some activities are incorporated to increase students in Participating actively.
5. The institution has introduced innovative changes in the curriculum under Choice Based Credit System with the motive of preparing the students to cope with the Competitive World.
6. The Strategies adopted for the revision of the existing Programmes are as follows.
B.A. with political science offers a three–year inter disciplinary programme that provides a back bone in all the traditional branches of Political Science through traditional lectures,group discussions,individual research projects,student seminars and Invited guest lectures for the students are made mandatory for the over all knowledge and skill development
To give information related to Indian Administration system and International Politics.To teach Indian Democratic values and cultivating knowledge about Indian ana Western Administration.To spread the Constitutional values like:Democracy,secularism,fraternity and equality among the student.Creating awareness to the students about Political Philosophy to make civilized citizen of India.
